Job Role
The Medical Representative will be responsible for promoting the company’s critical care products to doctors, intensivists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals. The role involves developing strong professional relationships, increasing product prescriptions, and achieving territory growth through ethical marketing practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Promotion
- Promote critical care products to doctors, intensivists, surgeons, and hospital specialists.
- Conduct scientific detailing of products to healthcare professionals.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
2. Doctor & Hospital Coverage
- Regularly visit hospitals, ICUs, nursing homes, and clinics within the assigned territory.
- Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and prescribing doctors.
- Identify and convert potential doctors into regular prescribers.
3. Business Development
- Generate prescriptions and increase secondary sales from the assigned territory.
- Expand product reach by activating new hospitals and healthcare institutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
4. Territory Management
- Maintain proper coverage of doctors, hospitals, and chemists.
- Plan daily field work and maintain call averages.
- Ensure product availability with stockists and hospital pharmacies.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Submit daily call reports, weekly updates, and monthly reports through ERP/CRM systems.
- Maintain accurate records of doctor visits and business performance.
- Ensure compliance with ethical pharmaceutical marketing guidelines.
Work Experience
- Freshers or candidates with 1–5 years of pharma Sales experience preferred.
- Candidate having experience into Critical Care, Gastro and Nephro segment will be preferred.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in B.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc.

- Good understanding of pharmaceutical products and medical terminology.
- Ability to build professional relationships with doctors and hospital staff.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
